Main field of subspeciality
is anterior segment surgery including cataract ,cornea and refractive surgery .
Dr. Yehia salah El Din is one of the first to perform modern sutureless phacoemulsification surgery in Egypt and the middle East since 1993.
Additional filed of interest
is oculoplastic surgery including ethetic, reconstructive and lacrimal surgery since 1991.
Subsidary field of intrest is oculoplastic surgery mainly esthetic surgery including BOTOX use.

Lectures, Courses and publications

The main focus in lectures and publications is on cataract and refractive surgery.
Dr. Yehia Salah has given hundreds of lectures and courses since 1993 about phacoemulsification in almost all major universities and hospitals in Egypt. Moreover lectures and live surgery was done abroad in Jordan, Iraq,Libya Sudan,Turkey.
In addition to lectures given in many international conferences in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Greece, China, Dubai, Tunisia, Morrocco, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait and USA.
University work:
Teaching both under and postgraduates.Training residents and operating once a week for the university free patients.

Work
Dr. Yehia Salah has been still involved in most of campaigns carried out by Cairo University, ministry of health, and WHO to treat the poor as well as training doctors in almost all of Egypt`s governerates. In addition to similar campaigns to Iraq, Sudan and Libya.

Life
Dr.Yehia Salah used to be a swimmer and waterpolo player in the youth national team of Egypt.
Married and have three kids a girl and two boys.
Ophthalmology history in the family: Grandfather, father, were ophthalmologists, mother and brother are ophthalmologists
